Christmas Donations
“Christmas is the spirit of giving, not receiving. It is happiness because we see joy in people.”
Our Christmas project was to prepare 150 boxes of food supplies and distribute them to the people in need during this festive season. Thank you to all our donors and volunteers. We couldn’t have achieved our goal without your much appreciated help!
A special thanks goes to AL NAKHIL.CO for their generous donation of halawa and tahina, Mr. Pierre Abi Rizk who contributed with beans and chickpeas and Mr. Tony Beiruti who donated wheat.
Christmas Blessings
In order for the joy of the holidays to reach every home, and as its annual habit, the George M Younes Foundation distributed food boxes to more than 200 families. It is the season of Christmas blessings.
Inauguration of Dbayeh Water fountain
George Younis Research Hall
On the initiative of the George M Younes Foundation, a Research Hall was prepared at the University of NDU Zouk Mosbeh with the aim of promoting knowledge, innovation and developing research capabilities of students and academics. The hall was inaugurated as “George Younis Research Hall” on 18-12-2023. This hall is a modern hub equipped with the latest technologies and resources to keep up with rapid technological developments, aiming to encourage innovation and support pioneering research in various scientific domains.
Dbayeh Official School
An initiative by GMY Foundation, reconstructing the wall at Dbayeh Official School. Georges Younes Award has been launched, an annual education award for the first Lebanese high school diploma students between St. Rita Dbayeh School and Dbayeh Official High School
Monastery of Our Lady of Salvation
As part of its campaigns aimed at supporting every needy, a delegation from the GMY Foundation visited the Monastery of Our Lady of Salvation, the Foundation of the Care House for the Maronite Lebanese Nuns, where the situation of the elderly and those in need of care was informed.
Their demands, through a very productive meeting with Mother Victoire, the head of the monastery, and after a tour in the institution, the visit ended with providing an amount of food.
House of Lady of Al-Hanan (Broumana - Masqa)
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. (Matthew 25/35)
On the 21st of May 2024, A delegation from the George M Younes Association for Solidarity visited the House of Lady of Al-Hanan (Broumana – Masqa) and met with the brothers in need of care in the center with the ladies who supervise the management of their education and care for them.
During the fruitful meeting, the situation and requirements of the center and its students were examined.
The visit resulted in the presentation of a number of Food items.
Honoring outstanding students
On 04 October 2024, GMY Foundation held a celebration for the top Lebanese students within St. Rita Dbayeh School and Dbayeh Public High School who succeeded in the first round of the Lebanese Official examinations for the high school diploma, SV.SE.SG branches, where the Georges Younes Prize for Pre-University Education was distributed. The amount was one thousand US dollars for each student
Christmas Donations 2024
Celebrating the glorious holidays, the George M. Younes Foundation distributed no less than one hundred food rations to the most needy families in Dbayeh and the rest of the regions.
